When Deskmates Fall in Love

Jiang Ze saw a quote online:

The most thrilling thing in the world is

when someone you thought you’d never have a chance to get close to

falls in love with you.

From that night beneath the streetlights

to all the times they drew closer,

the first shoots of youth blossomed into flowers.

The words “I like you” stayed hidden in the hearts of the young boy and girl

until that midsummer, when you stood there, and you were the whole summer.

That was when their feelings could finally be openly shown and spoken aloud.
