This book is written by FlappyPig, a well-established domestic CTF team. Team members have won multiple XCTF International League Championships, TCTF/0CTF Championships, third place in the WCTF World Hacker Master Challenge, and have been shortlisted for the Defcon Global Finals many times. They have rich practical experience.
This book focuses on the three dimensions of safety technology, problem-solving methods and competition skills required for CTF competition. It aims to lead readers who are interested in CTF competition to get started quickly through the author's solid technical skills and rich competition experience. Based on the characteristics of the CTF competition, the book systematically explains the knowledge points, modes, and techniques of the CTF competition from six aspects: Web, Reverse, PWN, Crypto, APK, and IoT. Each article is paired with past exam questions to help readers deepen their understanding.
The book is divided into six chapters.
Web (Chapter 1~8)
It mainly explains some basic knowledge points and commonly used tools and plug-ins for Web-type questions in CTF competitions. These knowledge points and tools can also be used in some actual penetration tests.
Everse (Chapter 9~10)
It mainly explains the main methods of reverse analysis in CTF, commonly used analysis tools, reverse analysis technology and cracking methods to help readers improve their reverse analysis capabilities.
PWN (Chapter 11~17)
A detailed analysis of the mining and utilization of PWN binary vulnerabilities, mainly explaining the utilization methods and techniques for various vulnerabilities. The author can deepen his understanding by combining the example questions.
Crypto (Chapter 18~22)
The knowledge and examples of Crypto-type questions are mainly described from the following directions: overview, encoding, classical cryptography, modern cryptography, and analysis of real questions.
APK (Chapter 23~25)
Explain the relevant content of APK in CTF, mainly introducing the content of APK questions, problem-solving methods and competition skills from three aspects: basic knowledge points of APK, reverse analysis technology of Dalvik layer, and reverse analysis technology of Native layer.
IoT (Chapter 26~30)
The explanation of IoT type questions covers the basic knowledge of IoT and wireless communications and the problem-solving skills of related types of questions, helping everyone develop the ability to solve IoT-related questions.
