"Disqualification in the World", also known as "Disqualification as a Human Being", is an autobiographical novel. This is the last work in the life of Osamu Dazai, a representative writer of Japanese post-war rogue literature and a national-level writer hailed by Haruki Murakami.
The protagonist Ye Zang is timid and sensitive by nature, full of fear and anxiety about human life. Coupled with the chaos of the world, the warmth of human relationships, the hypocrisy and deception among family members, the boredom and pain of campus life, and the cold cruelty of social reality... All of this makes him an "alien" in the world. He always longed to love and be loved, and kept sinking in order to escape reality, but it always backfired. He later became a tragic figure who abused himself, abandoned himself, exiled himself, and used drugs to numb himself...
This book uses Ye Zang's life experiences to show the author's various experiences in his short life and his inner confusion and struggle. Behind the funny, weird and cynical "funny", we can see a real and ideal "eternal boy", as well as his persistent pursuit of a happy life and his eager yearning for a better society...

This book is very in-depth and made me think a lot about life and myself. I like the protagonist Ye Zang very much. His experiences are heartbreaking, but his pursuit of happiness is also touching. I especially hate his father, I feel like he is very indifferent to Ye Zang. Some of the plots in the book are very real, such as the boredom of campus life and the cruelty of social reality, which resonated with me. However, Dazai Osamu's writing is very charming, making me feel his inner struggle and yearning for beauty. This is a book worth reading, I recommend it to you!
People are suspicious of each other, have interactions with each other, are two-faced, and are different before and after! Sorrow!
There are so many irreversible tragedies in human character. How much perseverance does it take to overcome character weaknesses?
Alas😔! Sorrow! Life is boring, I want to live well!
