Hui Keke, a miserable wage slave in the 21st century, worked herself to death at a young age. After dying, she was chosen by the Gossipy System of the Time Bookshop and transmigrated into a book as the legitimate daughter of the Chancellor.

As System 1718 keeps leveling up by feasting on gossip from the Hui residence, Hui Keke uses her wits to contend with Zhang Yangdie, the original female lead, while putting the rewards she earns from the System’s upgrades to good use to enrich the country and strengthen the people.
Many years later, the people of Dongwen Kingdom can’t praise Hui Keke, who was named Lady of Ruixian by the Emperor, enough:
“Lady of Ruixian often says, ‘Let the well-off help the less fortunate, and let’s all work toward a prosperous future.’ Now we’re all thriving! We never would’ve dared dream of this before! Lady of Ruixian is a blessing to all of Dongwen!”
