Love Always Finds a Way to Mend a Broken Heart

Gu Shengsheng saw Fu Yanli again on a variety show. He was as calm and indifferent as ever, as though their past had never existed. Fu Yanli was now a hotshot esports player, so when Sister Qin arranged for her to appear on an esports variety show, Gu Shengsheng checked the guest list carefully and only agreed after confirming Fu Yanli wasn't on it. She never expected to run into him anyway. Watching him act as if nothing had happened, Gu Shengsheng suddenly felt silly for being so anxious. She told herself to act as if this were their first meeting. After all, she was a good actress, and years of managing her expressions meant she wouldn't give herself away. So she acted even more calm and composed than Fu Yanli, with only a hint of panic at the beginning. The two became teammates and trained with everyone else. Gu Shengsheng found it exhausting to keep up the act, but thankfully, this was the last recording. Once it was over, she wouldn't have anything to do with Fu Yanli again. But somehow, he was like a ghost that wouldn't leave her alone, turning up everywhere she went. Gu Shengsheng wondered if she'd been having bad luck lately and even considered going to a temple to pray. Then she thought that once she joined the cast, she surely wouldn't run into him anymore. But who could have guessed that one of the hottest esports players around would come on board as a professional consultant? Fine, he could be a consultant, but why did he always have to show up when she was there? It really was a headache, though she did learn a lot...
