The Noble Daughter Enters Politics: The First Empress of Yanshuo

[Traditional historical romance, strong female lead, plot-focused, with a little character growth for the heroine]

A woman is no less than a man, and a beauty can surpass any hero.

Shen Youning was raised from childhood by her grandmother, Grand Princess Jinyue. Her grandmother took part in two succession struggles and helped emperors ascend the throne. She also went to war and commanded entire armies.

Growing up under her grandmother’s influence, Shen Youning inherits her resolve and is willing to fight her way into a world ruled by men.

A marriage contract brings Shen Youning back to the capital in a blaze of publicity. There, she encounters a beloved princess who has been targeted for assassination. The emperor uses Shen Youning to eliminate the Prince Dun’s household, which stands behind the princess.

As she tests the princes and supports the Crown Prince, she also investigates her mother’s death.

During this time, an inconsequential daughter born to a concubine appears before her, helping her solve the mystery of her mother’s death and bringing her a shocking case!

The Crown Prince is caught up in the affair, and the empress is placed under house arrest.

With the situation on the verge of collapse and the other princes gaining the upper hand, can Shen Youning find a way out?

Then the Crown Prince takes his own life, and she turns to support his younger brother, the Sixth Prince Rong Shi, guiding him all the way to the throne.

“My elder brother’s path is my path. Princess, will you support me as you supported him?”

“But I want to stand as your equal and rule the realm alongside you!”

“Very well.”

From then on, the Emperor and Empress of Yanshuo rule together. They establish women’s schools, appoint female officials, and usher in a peaceful, prosperous age.

Under the protection and guidance of this empress, women throughout Yanshuo and the entire realm are no longer confined to the inner chambers. They can compete with men for their place in the world!
