Romance of the Three Kingdoms: A Plain-Language Edition

Romance of the Three Kingdoms, also known as The Story of the Three Kingdoms and The Popular Romance of the Three Kingdoms, is a historical novel by Luo Guanzhong, a novelist of the late Yuan and early Ming dynasties. Based on Chen Shou's Records of the Three Kingdoms, Pei Songzhi's annotations, and folk tales and legends about the Three Kingdoms, it was shaped into a lengthy historical novel in the traditional chapter-by-chapter format. Together with Journey to the West, Water Margin, and Dream of the Red Chamber, it is considered one of the Four Great Classical Novels of China.
