The Phoenix Palace’s Deepest Chambers

This novel does more than focus on the power struggles, tangled affections, desires, and betrayals among the upper classes: the emperor, his consorts, princes, nobles, and ministers. It delves more deeply into how ordinary people of that era struggled against the currents of fate for a chance to survive. Beneath their glittering façades, most of these people had little control over their own lives. Swept along mercilessly by the wheels of their times, they nevertheless tenaciously sought a glimmer of hope. I hope you’ll read my work on Tomato Novel and enjoy it.
