Song Mingzhao was the beloved legitimate daughter of Song Chengde, Minister of the Court of Judicial Review. Once she entered the palace, she began her climb to power. A low-ranking concubine wasn't good enough for her. Neither was being empress. The empress dowager's seat was where she belonged!

She even won over the emperor, whose heart had long been cold!
