The Story of a Military Officer Transferred to Civilian Life

In the early 1970s, Li Zimu went to sell plums. Chen Hongyu, a female educated youth who came to buy them, bought his entire basket. Since she had nothing to carry so many plums in, Li Zimu lent her his back basket. When Chen Hongyu returned it, she secretly left a yuan inside. But when Li Zimu tried to return the money, he could no longer find her.

More than twenty years later, after leaving the army, Li Zimu returned to Bashan. He happened to run into Chen Hongyu, and from then on, a series of moving stories unfolded between them.
