Place chess pieces, play cards, use props, do whatever you want...
Whenever I die or take a certain pill, it resets time and takes me back to the previous story point.

Don't be discouraged. I see you haven't updated it today. This novel is really well written. It brings more surprises than the previous book, the writing is beautiful, and there are two styles. The difference is so huge, it can be seen that the author's skills are extraordinary. But to be honest, I really wanted to read the last book.
