A Deep Dive into Chinese History: Qin and Han

A Thorough Understanding of Chinese History: Qin and Han is the fifth installment in the Bu Baichi Illustrated History series.

The Qin and Han were two successive unified dynasties and the first period of great prosperity in Chinese history. Over more than four hundred years, the country's territory, military strength, population, economy, and culture all developed to an unprecedented degree. The system of national governance established by the Qin and refined by the Han profoundly shaped the course of Chinese history. Cultural traditions that gradually took form during the Qin and Han, including the Chinese language, Chinese characters, and Han clothing, also laid the foundations for the basic shape of later Chinese culture.

Bu Baichi takes you through historical records such as Records of the Grand Historian, Book of Han, Book of the Later Han, and Records of the Three Kingdoms, as we explore this brilliant era, celebrated for a thousand years by generations to come.
