First-Rank Magistrate: From the Start, I Mistakenly Kidnap the Empress and Bring Her Home

After transmigrating into the role of a county magistrate in Daqian,

Yang Qi spent five years turning a remote, impoverished county into a city of the future.

Industry, commerce, agriculture, the economy, culture, and science all flourished.

Yet Yang Qi always kept a low profile, greasing palms and hiding his achievements. He only wanted to stay here and enjoy life as a carefree little county magistrate.

He never expected the current empress to go undercover on an inspection tour!

And she came right to his own territory!

Everyone in the county town had been trained by Yang Qi himself!

When his men noticed the visitor acting strangely, they knocked her out that very night and delivered her to Yang Qi’s room, so the magistrate could give her a proper interrogation!

Yang Qi thought so too!

Strange behavior meant there had to be something fishy going on!

That night,

Yang Qi was preparing to thoroughly interrogate the female suspect who had sneaked in, but she refused to cooperate!

Yang Qi decided to give her a little punishment and make her realize her mistake.

He slipped his hand inside her collar, ready to turn up the pressure, and unexpectedly felt a gold-inlaid jade pendant against her chest:

A five-clawed golden dragon was carved on the front, surrounded by intricately detailed cloud patterns.

Most importantly, the four characters “Mandated by Heaven” were engraved on the back!

Wasn’t this the emperor’s personal jade pendant?

He’d heard the current emperor was a woman. Could this woman actually be her?

He’d taken the empress home by force, and she’d even seen him reaching into her chest to take her measurements…

How was he supposed to deal with this?
