Its full name is "The Popular Romance of the Three Kingdoms". The author is Luo Guanzhong, a novelist in the late Yuan Dynasty and early Ming Dynasty. "The Romance of the Three Kingdoms" describes the historical events of nearly 105 years from the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty to the early years of the Western Jin Dynasty. It mainly describes wars and reflects the melee war between the heroes in the late Eastern Han Dynasty and the political and military struggles among the three kingdoms of Wei, Shu and Wu. This book is really great! I was originally worried that the ancient text would be obscure and difficult to understand, but it turned out that the modern vernacular version perfectly solved the reading barrier! The power struggles and heroic sentiments in the story of the Three Kingdoms have been retained authentically. Cao Cao's heroic spirit and Zhuge Liang's magical calculations are vividly displayed on the page. Even the tense atmosphere of the Battle of Guandu and the Battle of Chibi are vividly depicted. It's so friendly to a history novice like me. It can not only quickly get the classic story, but also understand the wisdom and strategies of the characters. I highly recommend it to friends who want to get started with the Three Kingdoms but are afraid of not being able to read the original novel!
