Forced by his grandfather to marry a woman he's never met, Yin Shao finds the idea completely unacceptable.
When resisting proves useless, he can only hope that the woman will take the hint and leave of her own accord.
At their first meeting, he gives her a check for ten million yuan. “Take the money and leave on your own.”
She promptly hands him a check for twenty million. “Take the money and marry me like a good boy.”
Yin Shao is utterly defeated!
At their next meeting, he gives her a check for a hundred million. “Don't be greedy. You'll never see this much money in your life.”
Yin Shao believes there's no problem money can't solve. If there is, then he simply hasn't offered enough.
Faced with the enormous check, Ye Zheng says, “Sorry, I'm shallow. I don't want your money, just your looks. Why don't you disfigure yourself?”
She has no choice but to marry him, and after their whirlwind wedding, she cheerfully hands him a marriage agreement: aside from not getting divorced, they won't interfere in each other's private affairs.
Later, faced with Ye Zheng's easygoing attitude, Yin Shao fumes: “You're my wife! If you don't keep me in line, who will?”
