A Villain of the Demonic Path: I Make the Ice-Cool Empress Blush

[One heroine, no System, fantasy romance, a touch of cosmic horror, passionate action, ensemble cast] After transmigrating to another continent, the Demon King Dongfang Yan devoted himself to conquering the world. His bloodlust finally brought about his downfall. Just as Empress Shui Xiyue rallied the righteous to execute him, Dongfang Yan put his silver tongue to work: “Shui Shui, I did all this just to get rid of everyone who bullied you…” “I honestly don't know how to love someone. Can you teach me?” He thought his sweet talk might earn him a chance to live, but then some nobody ambushed him, and he died anyway. Luckily, an unknown sword cultivator sacrificed himself for Dongfang Yan. Reborn, he was soon caught up in a strange case involving demonic creatures. He met his old enemy, the empress, again. He approached her with revenge in mind, only to discover that she had believed every word of the speech he'd given before dying. Shui Xiyue decided she had misjudged him. After Dongfang Yan's death, she left the immortal sects and joined the imperial court's Demon-Hunting Squad to slay demons and vanquish evil. Where had the bizarre Sha, which could infest human bodies, come from? And why had the divine beast in the stone chamber at Leiyin Temple become demonic? Could there even be another transmigrator in this world? With all these questions on his mind, the former Demon King's revenge plan was put on hold. As he spent time with his old enemy Shui Xiyue, feelings began to stir between them. Fate brings people together in the strangest ways. Who could have imagined that the task of upholding justice and protecting the nation and its people would ultimately fall to Dongfang Yan, who had once vowed to become “the greatest villain of all time”...?
