The Fierce Eighth Prince

[Political Intrigue + Master Schemer + Struggle for Supremacy]

He turns his fief upside down, and all of Great Yan feels the shock.

Wang Ding unexpectedly transmigrates to Great Yan and becomes the Eighth Prince. Through a bold and dangerous move, he succeeds in getting himself sent to a fief.

“When I was in the capital, I belonged to Great Yan. Now that I’m in my fief, Great Yan belongs to me.”

Forget enriching the people, strengthening the army, and stockpiling grain while biding his time. He only wants to make money, recruit soldiers, and build an army strong enough to keep him safe.

Military:

Retainer: “Your Highness, we now have an army of 20,000, including 10,000 cavalry. You’re perfectly safe!”

Wang Ding: “Not enough. Still not enough. This number is too dangerous. Raise it to 100,000.”

Business:

Other merchants: “Your Highness, you eat the meat and drink the broth. Please, just toss us a bone to gnaw on!”

Wang Ding: “What are you yelling for? You eat whatever I give you. Anyone who complains will have their rice bowl smashed.”

When the other princes hear what Wang Ding has been doing in his fief, they say:

The princes: “Father, the Eighth Prince has secretly raised an army of over a hundred thousand in his fief. He’s plotting rebellion. Please issue an edict ordering him to the capital, then execute him.”

Emperor Yan: “If he’d listen to me, that would be great. If you’ve got the nerve, go deal with him yourselves. Stop whining in front of me.”

Everyone is left dumbfounded.
