My Lady, Long Time No See

Wen Wan had always been the model “good girl” in other people’s eyes. She spoke softly and handled everything sensibly and carefully, even keeping her frowns restrained. But no one knew that this young woman, who had always etched “rules” into her very bones, had lately been plagued by dreams that kept her awake night after night.

The dreams were so vivid that she could clearly remember the warmth beneath her fingertips, the hot breath by her ear, even the shadow cast by Lin Qing’s lashes as she lowered her eyes. And yet the person at the heart of her dreams was Lin Qing, someone she barely knew in real life.

What unsettled her even more was that the scenes in her dreams always... When she woke, her cheeks were burning and her heart raced as if it might burst from her chest. During the day, whenever she caught sight of Lin Qing at the hospital from afar, she would instinctively lower her head, her ears so red they might bleed.

At first, she thought it was simply a case of thinking about someone too much. But the dreams came every night, growing clearer and even including details she had never imagined. Was it really just a coincidence? Or was some unseen hand quietly weaving these unsettling fantasies? Every time she met Lin Qing’s calm, unreadable gaze, Wen Wan couldn’t help wondering: Could Lin Qing be haunted by these strange dreams too?
