County Magistrate, Wait for Me

To avoid a matchmaking date, the daughter of the wealthiest man in the Southern Kingdom seeks a passerby on the street and enters a sham marriage. By chance, she meets a prince living under an assumed identity in the Northern Frontier, where he serves as a county magistrate investigating an arms-smuggling case. She follows him there, using their companionship as a cover while secretly expanding her family’s business. Together, they improve the people’s lives and build prosperity, and spend their free time raising cats and fooling around. Their affection slowly deepens, but conflicting loyalties force them apart. Back in the capital, they rekindle their old romance and put down a rebellion together. Once the turmoil has passed, they set off hand in hand to explore the lands beyond.
