My Childhood Friend Took Me by Force

[Childhood friends + sweet and doting, devoted love + angst + humble pleas for love] Princess Jingzhao was clever and beloved, and had been at odds with Princess Chaoyang ever since they were children.

Young General Qin was a noble heir of exalted status, tall and handsome. Yet he spent all day following Jingzhao around, cleaning up her messes and taking the blame for her.

Chaoyang was so jealous she became unrecognizable, and every scheme she tried only left her in tatters.

When a palace coup broke out, Jingzhao turned away and said, “Qin Muyuan, do you think that just because you touched me, I have to marry you?

“I am the most beloved princess in all of Jiuzhou. How could I spend my life hiding away with you?

“You're not even a fraction as good as Su Changqing. How could I possibly leave with you?”

From then on, the handsome young lord grew withdrawn and left Jiuzhou.

When they met again, he gripped Jingzhao's chin and said, “You're nothing but a ruined woman, Princess Jingzhao. Why are you still pretending to be chaste?”

The next moment, Qin Muyuan's eyes flew open in alarm. His eyes reddened as he said, “Jingzhao, please forgive me this once, all right?”

Jingzhao looked at Qin Muyuan with disappointment in her eyes. “So this is how you promised to protect me for the rest of my life?”

Kneeling beside the bed, Qin Muyuan offered her the imperial phoenix seal. “Jingzhao, bear me a child, and I'll give you everything you want.”

Her eyes red, Jingzhao took the seal and sneered. “Very well, then.”
