Ling Xi, the protagonist, was born into a family of winemakers. After suffering a misfortune in her marriage, she got drunk and went to the Temple of the Matchmaker to pour out her troubles. Ling Xi believed she had failed to find a good partner because she had too many romantic debts from a past life. She must have been too much of a flirt back then, she figured, and swore before the Matchmaker’s temple to teach her former self a lesson. Instead, she happened upon the drunken Matchmaker. By a twist of fate, her wish to transmigrate and seek revenge on her past self came true. And so begins a hilarious, witty spectacle in which monsters roam and humans and gods gather together.
