Bungo Stray Dogs: My Years in the Scriptwriting Group

[This story has a fairly light tone. I’m terrible at writing blurbs. No romance.]

First of all, transmigrating is awesome.

Second, Qian Xianye doesn’t even want to imagine how cheerful he’d be if something this awesome hadn’t happened to him.

As a transmigrator keeping up with the times, he’s landed in Yokohama, a city with simple, honest customs.

Qian Xianye trembles as he stares at the scriptwriters standing in front of him, swallowing nervously.

Question: After finding out he can’t go back, how can he keep his secret identity from another world safe in front of the scriptwriters and do his best to survive?

Comments: Calm down first, then follow our script!

Luckily, every single commenter is talented, great at talking, and clever, with one script after another ready to go. They somehow turn Qian Xianye into one of the scriptwriters, and even make him a disciple of a certain tricolored cat who’s always slacking off.

Qian Xianye: Thank goodness this world didn’t finish me off (exhausted face).

Later, after becoming one of the Diamonds and persuading the Port Mafia’s Diamonds to overthrow a certain AI nerd, Qian Xianye helps make Yokohama ever more popular, only to suddenly realize:

Maybe, just maybe, all he wanted at the start was to stay alive?

The commenters who egged Qian Xianye on to stir things up: Hee hee.

Here’s a joke: In this Yokohama, you can see a famous detective who passed the civil service exam, a bandage-wearing guy who got tricked into becoming the boss, and the Special Division for Unusual Powers working so much overtime that they’ve gone insane.
