The Book of Evil Spirits

My name is Bai Feng. Ten days after my grandmother died, the strange old book passed down in our family suddenly went out of control. The book used to turn its own pages from time to time at night. As long as I closed it, it would stay shut for the rest of the night. But during the nine days after my grandmother’s death, even after I closed it, it would start flipping through its pages again. I managed to keep it under control by weighing it down with a thick book. Then, on the tenth day, I put a book on top of it. The old book... no, the stupid book suddenly got temperamental and shoved the heavy book off itself. I only moved a little closer, and the old book swallowed me whole. That was how I ended up inside the book, in a terrifying place. It wasn’t a normal world anymore. In short, it was a world of the supernatural, a world turned upside down! The problem was, I faint at the sight of blood, and seeing it makes me dizzy and sick. In this terrifying world, that’s a fatal weakness! Oh, and in that terrifying place, there’s a strange “person” named Yuan Jing... . Yuan Jing asked me, “Do you faint at the sight of blood?” I stopped and shot back, “Of course I do. Have you only just met me?” Yuan Jing raised our clasped hands. “There’s blood on my hand, and you’re still holding it.” My vision went dark. “...Urgh!” Yuan Jing: “Idiot.” .
