The moment she opened her eyes, she found herself in the body of an ugly, fat, dark-skinned village woman!
And someone was using her to make a pancake!
She looked at the handsome face above her, dazzlingly good-looking.
Li Tingxu thought she was having a steamy dream, but the handsome man grabbed her by the throat.
“Li Tingxu, have you no shame?”
Only after that night did she learn that she had gone from being Li Tingxu, a renowned modern-day doctor of traditional Chinese medicine, to an ugly, desperate-to-marry woman in the 1980s who had drugged the village's most eligible bachelor to force him to consummate their marriage!
Everyone in the surrounding villages despised her shamelessness.
She looked at the pancake-like face in the water vat, the barrel-shaped waist beneath her clothes, and the disgusted, contemptuous look in her new husband's eyes.
Li Tingxu gritted her teeth. She'd lose weight, gather medicinal herbs, and find a job at a factory.
She'd dish out some face-slapping, punish the villains, work hard to become a famous doctor, clear her name, and build a fortune!
And along the way, she'd win the heart of a devoted, scheming husband and live happily ever after in this era!
