During the Republic of China, three young people were born in Luhe Town, Tong County, Beiyun River. They had different family backgrounds and educational experiences, but they also experienced the rise and fall of their families and the cruelty of war. They also imagined that they could avoid all disasters by hiding in their hometown. Faced with the facts and faced with life and death, they understood a truth: there is no home without a country, and if the country is not strong, it is not safe to escape anywhere. The three people grew up, matured, strengthened and awakened during the war, and supported the Eighth Route Army in the anti-Japanese war in different forms. They have experienced love, hatred, life and death, and together they have witnessed the despair and rebirth of the people of Luhe during the war years.
