[Food + shopkeeping + one heroine + daily life + heartwarming + devoted dad + daughter + lighthearted + no showing off + no face-slapping]
Transmigrating to the Primordial Continent tens of thousands of years after the calamity of Journey to the West, Jiang He discovers that he has an adorably precious daughter, and that his mortal wife is actually a fairy. Is this the start of a Dong Yong-style romance?
Unexpectedly, he awakens the Supreme Chef Saint System, the kind that can really make him a Saint.
So Jiang He sets himself a modest goal: raise his daughter to be chubby and healthy, then go to the Immortal Realm and bring his wife back.
But what he never expected was that his cooking would drive the long-peaceful Three Realms into a frenzy.
The emperor of the Human Realm: “Prepare the imperial carriage! Tomorrow, I'm going to Jiang He's little shop!”
His ministers: “Your Majesty, you absolutely mustn't! Unless... you take us with you!”
Laozi: “This food... is excellent!”
The Heavenly Worthy of Primordial Beginning: “This man actually serves such delicacies to those creatures born from dampness and eggs. How stubbornly foolish.”
The Heavenly Worthy of the Way of the Heavens: “My Jie Sect is gone anyway. I'll live in Jiang He's shop from now on and eat there every day!”
The two Western Saints: “Boss Jiang is destined to join our Western Religion. He should become its Third Patriarch and be honored as the Buddha of Cuisine.”
The Jade Emperor: “Quick! Go fetch Buddha Tathagata and have him persuade Boss Jiang to open a branch in the Heavenly Court!”
When everyone in the Three Realms has fallen under the spell of Jiang He's cooking, he can only say helplessly, “I really just wanted to raise my daughter to be chubby and healthy. As for running a shop, the System made me do it!”
The cultivation levels in this book are kept fairly simple, using a standard system, so you won't have to worry about keeping track of them.
There's almost no showing off or face-slapping. It's all about cozy everyday life, with a lighthearted tone.
The content is still very good. Two more points to mention, first: the system needs to be strengthened. The author should consider this carefully. Although it is not the top level, at this stage of the system, I feel that if something unexpected happens, the system cannot be saved. Second: the heroine should not just appear in memories, or even have a name. If possible, describe the scene on the heroine's side a little bit. Including a slight mention of her name. When you look at the back, I thought there was no female protagonist. I think these two points need to be considered and strengthened. I think everything else is pretty good.
The content is quite good, but I personally can't appreciate it, because the heroine is like a background board, there are more than 60 pictures, and I don't even know her name. Moreover, the protagonist's strength improves too slowly. If you like this kind of slow-paced and comfortable movie, you can watch it. (It's not meant to be derogatory, I just don't see it personally.)
One hundred dusk, one hundred dusk
The food cooked by the protagonist is too bad
I think it's okay, one hundred cups
