During the Republic of China, in a context full of turmoil and changes, our story tells the story of the joys and sorrows of the twin sisters of the Bai family - Bai Wei and Bai Jin. The sisters went to France to study together, pursuing the light of knowledge and their dreams for the future. However, the cruelty of fate brought this dream to an abrupt end. A catastrophic event took away the life of her sister Bai Jin.
Since the Bai family's parents had favored their elder sister since childhood, Bai Wei made a brave decision in extreme grief and despair: she cut off her long hair, changed her preferences, and returned to China pretending to be her late sister Bai Jin, hoping to make a career on her own and gain recognition from her parents.
After returning to China, she found her childhood friend Lin Moyan and began her mission. Lin Moyan was ecstatic about the return of "Bai Jin", but he was unaware of the true identity of the person in front of him.
