Because I looked like Gu Tingshen's unattainable first love, he rescued me from a crowd of refugees and made me his concubine. After entering his household, I discovered that the other concubines were deeply hostile toward me. I nearly fell into a trap when I first arrived, but luckily I saw through it and seized the opportunity to make a fortune.
I was thriving in the inner household of the Gu residence when an assassin sent by the third concubine struck me in the back, leaving my life hanging by a thread.
