Lost on the Path to the Dao

(Fists on Er Gen, feet on Wang Yu)

Wang Yu and Er Gen mutter under their breath: “The village boys bully me, an old man, because I’m too weak to fight back.”

[Survival-style traditional cultivation + righteous and demonic paths, Buddhism, Confucianism, monsters, and ghosts + the strongest on Lan Yu Star is the Master among the six members of the Confucius Academy + no saintly do-gooder + no harem + frequent thrills + character growth]

The Starfield God, who ruled over countless beings across an entire starfield, was killed by an “Evil God” from an outside starfield. To preserve his divine soul, all his divine power transformed into five bony fingers, each containing the Starfield God’s essence and the mysteries of his countless treasures. One of those fingers fell upon an inconspicuous blue planet amid the vast cosmos. The protagonist, Tan Yuan, was born there. By chance, he ended up in a cultivation clan and became a core disciple. After obtaining a bone finger from a strange stone pool, he set out to conquer every corner of the universe, resurrect the Starfield God, claim the Starfield God’s throne, join forces to defeat the Evil God from the outside starfield, conquer the entire universe, and attain an unparalleled divine title: “Progenitor of the Gods.”

Tan Yuan: “I ask Heaven: Are there mortals who can achieve immortality?

A Confucian master dispelled my confusion:

‘Those who hear the Dao may live or die within a day. Why not enjoy the life of a mortal?’

I disagreed and argued back: ‘But Heaven is merciless, treating all things as straw dogs. We must break free of its rule!’”

This book covers every kind of cultivation, along with new paths created by the author. The story draws on extensive research into ancient texts and unofficial histories, and is strongly grounded in logic!

(The cultivation story is rather restrained in its early stages, but the thrills come frequently. Later on, it goes all out with the brutality: Kill! Kill! Kill!)
