Tomb Raiding: My Qiling Figurine Became the Real Deal, Now What?

[The Lost Tomb fanfiction + a deity travels back from the future + mutual salvation + everyday life + friendship with oneself]

The early part is lighthearted and funny. The later part might get a little dark, since the author has read too many stories about conspiracies and mysteries...

The original pairings from The Lost Tomb stay together, and there’s a side pairing.

If there are gods in this world, then Zhang Qiling must be one of them.

Once again, it was August 17. As she did every year, Bai Xiaoxi climbed Changbai Mountain.

When she was close to the summit, she somehow got separated from her group.

Alone in the vast, icy wilderness, she struggled to find her way. Suddenly, she seemed to spot a flash of blue in the distance.

She moved a few steps closer to get a better look, but stumbled over something at her feet.

When she looked up again, the blue gate had vanished, and she made her way home with a figurine she’d picked up.

But why was this figurine... warm to the touch?

Later, the two of them set out on another journey to find a way for Xiaoge to return.

An accident brought them into contact with the past, where they met a group of children living under a decaying feudal system.

When they meet their younger selves, what might change without them even realizing it?

History’s old stories are as light as dust, yet when they land on a person, they become a mountain.

The Zhang family’s Qilin: a soul too heavy, a life too light.

A cup of clear wine to honor you, Changbai Mountain stretching on forever.

“Go and see her for me.”

That’s all I could think of. I’m terrible at writing synopses, really terrible.

I’ve started writing it. This subject should be pretty original, right? I haven’t seen anyone else write anything like it.

No reposting. There are lots of personal headcanons. Please don’t flame me for the writing. The author is a little unhinged, and the story is, too.
