A Dream of Great Xia: The First Tyrant in History

This is the story of Li Chengqian, a modern medical expert and martial arts warrior who transmigrates to the Great Xia dynasty, a parallel-world version of ancient China. Starting out as a useless second prince, he builds a golden age, defeats his elder brother, the crown prince, who schemes to usurp the throne, and contends with two imperial uncles, corrupt officials, and powerful clans for control of the empire. He vigorously promotes the imperial examinations and breaks the aristocratic clans’ monopoly, ultimately bringing their power to an end. From appointing female generals and officials who rose through the examinations, to recruiting heroines from the martial world, to the maids and attendants by his side, the story follows his romances with consorts, maids, and female generals of every temperament. Though he is powerful in his own right, once he returns to the past, his medical knowledge and fresh ideas are all he contributes to the empire’s campaigns. His consorts, maids, and female generals wage the wars across the land, while he often fades into the background and is barely noticed. In front of his own consorts, he is a weakling, and the worst martial artist of them all. Fortunately, his women are all exceptional, and they win him an empire stretching thousands of miles. As the saying goes: I only want every woman under heaven to have a home. They are the ones who conquer the realm and unite it for me. This book explores many perspectives on values and social life that have rarely appeared in fiction before. It is the author’s first work, so please forgive any omissions!
