Eight Consorts Vie for Favor: The Tyrant Turns Out to Be an Emperor for the Ages

He is the emperor of the Great Qian Dynasty.

But all eight empresses want him dead so they can take his place.

The powerful clans in the provinces have raised armies of their own, and they want him dead too.

So...

He can only recruit outstanding talents from every era and form the strongest Imperial Guard.

He can only pour out brilliant poetry, writing a hundred poems in a row and leaving the Five Great Clans and Seven Noble Houses utterly speechless.

He can only temper his body into that of a perfect man and win over all eight empresses.

He wages war against the powerful clans and reforms the imperial court.

He drives back foreign invaders on every front and crushes the barbarians.

He reigns supreme over the land and becomes the ruler of Blue Star.

The people of the realm: How is this a tyrannical, incompetent ruler? He is clearly an emperor for the ages!
