On a rainy night, Xu Fan found a bloodstained Seven of Spades.
From that day on, he could see traces invisible to others and hear whispers from the depths of the darkness. He also became the target of a group of people wielding strange cards.
Spades govern killing, hearts control life and death, clubs command all things, and diamonds conceal rules.
Every card is a gift.
Every use means borrowing life from the abyss.
Some kill for cards, some become monsters just to survive, and some hide in the shadows of the city, manipulating an unseen game of chance.
At first, Xu Fan only wanted to protect his shabby rental apartment, his younger sister Xu Xiaoman, and the last scraps of his ordinary life.
Until, one rainy night, someone knocked on his door.
"Is the Seven of Spades there?"
At that moment, Xu Fan finally understood
This card wasn't a stroke of luck.
It was an invitation.
An invitation to join the game, to become prey, or... to become the next card wielder.
Just when I thought it was all over, everything was only just beginning...
Everything is chosen by fate, and everything is destined.
