I Am the Youth You Forgot

[...In projective geometry, two parallel lines intersect at infinity. The point where they meet is called a point at infinity...]

Li Yiran once asked Wang Minglang whether they would have a point at infinity of their own. Wang Minglang smiled and replied that he was already always by her side.

Wang Minglang really did seem to have always been by Li Yiran's side. They had witnessed each other's innocence, growth, and transformation. They had also been the light and warmth in each other's darkest moments. He had shown her a wider world, and she had made him believe that wholehearted love could exist between people who were not related by blood.

"I love you" can be a sweet confession when two people are in love, but it can also be a shackle when they are not. If something sharp and unyielding could be forged within this sweetness, then should this sweetness ever have existed at all?
