The Hidden Record of The Return of the Condor Heroes

In the tenth year of the Zhiyuan era, Xiangyang fell.

Guo Jing and Huang Rong gave their lives for their country, the Condor Hero Yang Guo vanished from the martial world, and Master Jueyuan of Shaolin died of exhaustion.

The old legends had ended, and new ones had yet to begin.

As the Han dynasty crumbled and the martial world sank into its darkest hour, the Yuan court established the Di Ting Bureau, weaving a vast net in a vow to sever the last pillar of the Han people’s martial destiny.

But he was still there. Lu Changfeng, a scout under Guo Jing, a “Night Watcher” who had clawed his way out of a heap of corpses.

He had no peerless martial arts. The Xuanming cold poison coursed through his body, and he could collapse at any moment.

But he had a blade hidden in the shadows, a mind that could calculate every twist of fate, and a promise heavier than Mount Tai.

As the hidden hand behind the scenes, he would fight overwhelming armies with the art of espionage in this darkest corner of the martial world.

He would guide the young Zhang Junbao to enlightenment at Wudang, help the remnants of Quanzhen establish themselves on Mount Hua, and escort the heroine Guo Xiang as she founded the Emei Sect.

In the darkness, he would safeguard the last spark of this people.

“Before dawn, I alone will be the eyes in this long night.”
