During the Tang Dynasty, there was a man named Zhong Kui in Quanzhou. He had a leopard's head, round eyes, an iron-like face, and a bristly beard, giving him a strange appearance. Yet he was a man of exceptional talent and learning. He was righteous and upright by nature, and always treated others with integrity.
