When the Sunflowers Bloom: The Tale of Liu E

A true-to-history story! Liu E, an orphan from Shu, was sold by her silversmith husband, Gong Mei, to Prince Xiang, Zhao Heng, who later became Emperor Zhenzong of Song.

Through the rise and fall of the years, the twice-married orphan Liu E ultimately ascended to the empress's throne, becoming the first empress dowager of the Northern Song to rule from behind the curtain: Empress Dowager Zhangxian Mingsu.

Liu E, Empress Liu, was the real-life inspiration for the folk tale of the civet cat being switched for the crown prince!

No transmigration! No golden finger! A story told true to the logic of history.
