The Tale of Qionghua

The Dachen Kingdom uprising in Guangdong at the end of the Qing dynasty is a true chapter of history that has been buried. National heroes gave their lives to resist the Qing and the British, and a pair of lovers faced death with courage. The heroine was sealed in a coffin beneath the deep sea, where she waited alone for 200 years, until the hero was reborn and transmigrated back to the late Qing. After being reborn three times, in the Human, Animal, and Ghost realms, and enduring countless trials, he finally understood the cycle of cause and effect and laid a final trap to kill the culprit who had brought disaster upon the country.

All three rebirths take place along the same timeline, each complementing the others. From the perspectives of the rebel army, ordinary people, and Qing government forces, they reveal the full course of history, as well as the ambitions and conspiracies of the various foreign powers, including Britain, the United States, and France.
