Selected Writings on Architecture by Lin Huiyin

She was a poet of extraordinary talent, a penetrating critic, and an accomplished architectural scholar. She was a lover who lingered in the heart, a friend who made everyone feel at ease, and a wife who could share every hardship... She was Lin Huiyin, the woman hailed as “talented and beautiful” in nearly a century of Chinese cultural history, embodying romance, legend, artistic gifts, learning, and beauty. Her articles and discussions on architecture, including her views and assessments of ancient architecture and her research and designs for residential housing, reveal her brilliance and original insights as an architectural scholar.
