College student Jiang Yuan gets dumped, then happens upon a ring. He learns of the future: the world he lives in will be overrun by demonic beasts! While investigating mysterious events, Jiang Yuan discovers that the ring, together with certain special locations, can take him back and forth to another world of magic. Little by little, he brings magic from that world to Blue Star, then introduces some of Blue Star's theories to the magic world.
In the end, Jiang Yuan takes command of the five top powers on Blue Star to fight off the demonic beast invasion. In the magic world, he becomes a world-traveling magistrate, fending off attacks from the Dark Church and demonic beasts...
[PS: Aside from magic, the magic world and Blue Star aren't very different.]
(The male lead mainly uses spatial magic in the early stages. After an accident in the middle and later stages, he alternates between fire and spatial magic.)
