Grassland Comeback: From the Start, I Inherit the Chanyu’s Woman

The story takes place across the vast and mysterious Mongolian Plateau and centers on the Wolf-Eagle Tribe, a powerful nomadic people thrown into chaos by the unexpected death of their leader. The protagonist, Zhanan, is the son of the tribe’s late Chanyu and a princess of Loulan. Because of his foreign appearance and refined temperament, Zhanan has always been an outsider among his people. But after the Chanyu’s death, the tribe’s balance of power begins to crumble, and a struggle for power and survival quietly takes shape. Faced with more than thirty ambitious brothers, Zhanan chooses an unconventional path. He gives up the contest for the chieftain’s throne and instead decides to inherit the barren land his father left him, along with a princess of the Great Jin, whom the tribe regards as an ill omen. The princess is Zhanan’s new bride, inherited along with the Chanyu title. Her beauty is not appreciated among the Xiongnu, who even consider her unlucky, believing her arrival led to the Chanyu’s death. Everyone rejects and scorns her.
