[Ruthless and decisive + highly intelligent villain + no System + sound logic + plot-driven]
An immortal soul cannot be destroyed. Suddenly, he thought of that sword strike with which Qingzhu had cleaved the waterfall. Back then, even a mere trace of it touching his soul had left him wary for a long time.
At the thought, he seemed to understand something. His blurred vision gradually cleared. He struggled to shift his gaze, turning it toward the left out of habit.
“Mm, nothing there.”
He looked behind him.
“Still not there. If it's gone, it's gone.”
Jiang Wuya's thoughts grew slower and slower, but he continued walking forward on instinct.
“Where was I? Right, the icy intent released by that sword strike acted on my soul...”
“Whose sword strike was it? Does it matter whose?”
Gradually, a trace of unease arose in Jiang Wuya's heart. Slowly, it swelled into dread.
“Am I going to die?”
He recalled how it had felt when he was ambushed that time. “This doesn't feel like dying.”
“I... seem to have lost something... something very... very important.”
“That sword strike... who... who made it?”
“Who... was it?”
Just as Jiang Wuya's thoughts were about to cease, a faint sting deep in his soul made him remember a name.
“Qing...zhu?” “Who is Qingzhu?”
“Qingzhu, sword practice, icy intent, and other bits of information surfaced one by one.”
“That's right. Qingzhu made that sword strike.”
“I... I think I lost Qingzhu?”
“I lost Qingzhu.”
At once, it felt as though his heart had been torn apart. Overwhelming pain snatched away his last shred of resolve.
Good book, classic fantasy
It feels okay, I feel quite comfortable watching it, but it's a pity that the protagonist may not feel so comfortable next.
The plot is exciting and very enjoyable to watch.
