Meng Zhen was born crazy. After her ninety-ninth escape from the psychiatric hospital by climbing over its electrified fence, she landed in the cultivation world and awakened a cheesy pickup-line System.

As a cannon-fodder side character, she has no sense of her role at all. When the protagonist sits down to eat, she spins the table. When the protagonist reaches for a dish, she flips the whole pot.

The pure-hearted heroine asks her to hold her bundle. Meng Zhen stuffs it into her storage ring. “Thanks for the gift. You’re so nice!”

Several of her senior brothers are die-hard simps for the heroine, but in the end, once they’re no longer useful, they have their cultivation crippled and are thrown into an arena to be slaughtered for people’s amusement.

Meng Zhen waves a hand. “Say it with me: romance is nothing. Thieving is the true path.”

Her gentle, upright senior sister saves someone, only to be betrayed and have her spiritual root ripped out.

Meng Zhen pats her chest. “You’ve got to be the biggest dog in the pack to become top dog. So what if people steal your opportunities and resources? Don’t be scared. What’s mine is mine, and if it isn’t, I’ll just steal it!”

Disciples of the Wuji Sect: “We admit body cultivators have thicker skin than most people, but compared to Meng the Dog, we’ve still got a long way to go.”

Meng Zhen, busy yanking phoenix feathers out with her senior sister, looks up. “Sure, I steal and rob, but I really am a good person!”

The beloved heroine of the Sacred Pill Sect looks up in confusion. “What are you all trying to do? Why are you blaming me for everything?”

The disciples cry out in alarm. “Run! That old dog Meng is stealing again!”

Meng Zhen, completely unapologetic: “So what if I steal? How else am I supposed to get stronger?”

Cheesy pickup lines, one after another; she gorges on juicy gossip with her senior sister.
