Synopsis

“This land devours people without even spitting out their bones. But if I turn the tables and take a bite out of the land myself, how do you propose to deal with that?”

So said Gray Eyes, hanging from the bridge.

“You’re right, but I don’t think what you said is right, so from now on, you’ll listen to me.”

“Hey, buddy, I’m getting off the train. You, on the other hand, are about to get taken off duty.”

“One-on-one or all-out brawl? Either you fight all of us at once, or we all beat you up together.”

“Class on the job application? Obviously Guard! Defenders can only take hits, Vanguards aren’t my thing, and as for Specialists? That old Kal'tsit, the cat with the bad attitude, says I don’t qualify. What about Supporters and Medics? Take a look at the greatsword in my hand before you ask. And Caster? Hilarious. There’s no future in being a Caster!”

“Huh? I’m fighting Patriot?”

What could have made Doctor Kal'tsit lead the Medical Department in a chase after Gray Eyes that lasted more than three laps around the Rhodes Island deck? Why has the employment rate for Casters dropped again? Why does Closure keep chuckling to herself in the middle of the night? Why does the Rhodes Island power plant always seem to be full of anguished wails? And why does the Rhodes Island blood bank keep turning up plasma from unknown sources? What lies behind it all? A distortion of human nature, or a collapse of morality?

Stay tuned for the Terra documentary series, The Legend of Gray Eyes (director’s cut, compiled over the past year)

I want to read something like Arknights: I Am the Young God of the Swarm. Ahhh, friends, lately I've really been craving Arknights fanfic about the Seaborn group (the Seaborn, maybe?) Please don’t recommend books that have nothing to do with the topic. If you really like a book but it’s unrelated, don’t recommend it. You could attract haters to the book.
