The Tibetan Witch and the Human-Skin Drum

My family lives in a primitive tribe deep in the mountains of Tibet. The villagers all worship a cruel, bloodthirsty religion. My eldest sister is a Sakya Bamu, who transforms into a demoness at night and takes lives. My second sister was skinned alive and made into a human-skin drum. And I am the goddess the villagers speak of. When my eldest sister died, blood streamed from every orifice, yet her body did not decay. The villagers said it was her retribution and told me not to mourn her. But they didn’t know that, before she died, my sister told me herself: “Run! They’re going to turn you into a human-skin thangka!”
