Just as You Return, the Begonias Bloom

A glittering past like smoke, with each person finding a different ending. One is a workplace rookie in the 21st century who has just broken up with her boyfriend. Sweet Xiaomeng hopes to find a perfect love in the modern age! Perhaps the Matchmaker in the Moon was sleepy and dozed off, tying the wrong threads. Just days after their breakup, she sees that her ex has already found someone new. As she is only beginning to move on, she accidentally falls into a “trap” carefully laid by her female boss and is forced to quit her job. She is like someone who has “fallen into a wolves’ den and been forced off the stage.” The other is the icy prince of the auspicious-cloud kingdom, whose name strikes terror into enemy troops. His fame resounds far and wide, and his enemies hear his name as though summoned by the god of death. On the battlefield, he is just like a cold-blooded reaper. Neither could have imagined that two people from different eras would meet because of a crabapple tree. Fate is a wondrous thing: somehow, these two from different times find themselves connected. In the prince's garden stands a crabapple tree said not to have blossomed in three hundred years. It has become a legend in the manor, and whenever someone mentions it, they do so with a touch of mystery and regret. Yet after Sweet Xiaomeng arrives at the manor, the tree miraculously bursts into bloom. The icy prince tells her, “Of three thousand waters, I choose to drink from only one gourd,” and his words make her feel especially secure. In this ancient world full of the unknown and adventure, the story of the prince and Sweet Xiaomeng continues. Together, they will face the challenges and hardships ahead and write a legendary life of their own.
