Detective Conan: Rei’s Love Story

[Detective Conan, Hua Rong/Rei Furuya]

Hua Rong meets a man in real life.

He's a cadet at the police academy: proud and sharp-tongued, with a sunny disposition. He also has a lovely name, Rei Furuya.

The moment Hua Rong first sees him, she's drawn to his blond hair.

He's exactly her type!

Before Hua Rong can react, Rei Furuya launches into a full-on pursuit.

But the more she looks at him, the more something seems off. Why does Rei Furuya look so much like her gaming buddy?

2.

When Rei Furuya was young, he had a childhood friend who was the light of his life.

But tragedy struck: she mysteriously disappeared when he was fourteen.

From that day on, he vowed to get into the police academy and find the childhood friend who had been missing for years.

Then, during his university years,

he met a girl who looked just like his childhood friend and had exactly the same personality.

He recognized her at first sight, then used all sorts of little tricks to get close to Hua Rong.

But when Rei Furuya was about to graduate, his childhood friend's superior came looking for him.

The superior told Rei Furuya that his childhood friend was surrounded by danger. To ensure she could live out her life in peace, he would have to go undercover in an organization and find classified documents.

Rei Furuya agreed without hesitation, for his childhood friend, and for their future.

He broke up with her, then vanished without a trace.
