In 1940, Shanghai is an isolated island where forces lurking in the shadows are caught in a struggle of mutual entanglement and opposition. On the day of Commander Du, the new head of Shanghai's government, turning forty, seven people with their own agendas gather at the Du residence. A lavish family banquet begins, and they, each after the deployment maps, face off against one another.
As people die one after another in bizarre circumstances and the investigation closes in, can "Butterfly" use herself as bait to break through the encirclement? Who will live to see the first light of dawn? And who will be the last one standing?
