Chaos or Clarity

In a remote mountain village, tucked away among deep ravines and sealed off by layer upon layer of towering peaks, the Zhang family is one of the oldest and most mysterious clans in the area. Its eldest son, Zhang Yu, is exceptionally handsome and possesses a brave, steadfast spirit. But on a night so sinister it seemed capable of freezing the soul, the twisted course of fate took a horrifying turn.

The village has an ancient and chilling custom: arranging ghost marriages for young men and women who die unmarried, to soothe their restless spirits and keep them from wreaking havoc among the living. Recently, the unmarried daughter of the wealthy and powerful Wang family died suddenly on the eve of her wedding. To ensure the peace and prosperity of their clan, the Wangs resolved to find a suitable man for her and hold the grim ghost-marriage ceremony.
