The Medicine Person's Calamity

Three years after getting engaged to Jiang Xiuyuan, he brought home his junior sister, who had been poisoned with a deadly toxin.

He wanted me to become a living medicine and test the cure on his junior sister.

He said, "You're so kind. You wouldn't just stand by and let her die, would you?"

A living medicine is immune to all poisons, but loses all seven emotions and six desires, forever severing ties with love.

I smiled and agreed.

Later, nestled in the Demon Venerable's arms, I asked, "Didn't I already cure your junior sister?"

"Then why is Sect Master Jiang still crying?"
